Don't talk loudly
Walls have ears
I chuckled when I heard my neighbour say this over the phone with his wife, but truth be told, I could hear everything she was saying, even without a loudspeaker. These walls don’t just have ears, they have gist-collecting superpowers.
And I blame the developers for cutting corners while building the house, but are they the ones I should blame really? Shouldn't I blame my landlord for not getting the right people for the job?
Which brings me to what I really want us to talk about.
Why do people contract the wrong people for a job and then go ahead to complain when they don't get the desired outcome?
If you don't understand that question, let me ask it more directly.
If you need to cut your hair, who do you go to?
If you need to repair your chair, who do you take it to?
If you need to repair your shoes, who do you call?
If your answers are barber, carpenter and cobbler (not a shoemaker), you're very correct
Now, what do you think happens when you go to a carpenter to cut your hair? You don't need Odogwu Paranran to tell you how this will end. We know your hairline will be the major casualty
Or just imagine a barber repairing your chair? Well! Let's just pray that your bumbum recovers from the fall.
But that’s exactly what you do when you hand your life to people who have no business holding it.
Why not give it to the only person who has the actual blueprint of your life? God.
The sweet thing about it is that He’s not telling you to go and arrange yourself first, He just says, “Come as you are.” No forming, no packaging.
See! Men will hear you like these walls and only gist about it like I just did, but God will actually hear you and do something about it.
So abeg, stop outsourcing your life to the wrong hands. Give it to the one who designed it in the first place.
Don't worry, God is not like your landlord, who will collect rent before listening. You can start it right now after reading this.
Have a beautiful morning and week ahead. Just before I go, enjoy this song that inspired this piece:

Have a great week too
